Bible Eunuchs are they
gay?
2. A contemporaneous
tradition from India contented that all eunuchs, both those who
were effeminate and those who were more masculine in appearance, engaged in
homosexuality to a greater or lesser degree. (Kama Sutra II. xi. This classic
was written between the first and the sixth centuries of this era but it claims
to be based on traditions that were much older. ) Contrary to this, there most
likely were some castrati who did not engage in homosexual acts; but such
non-homosexual eunuchs, in my opinion, would have constituted a distinct
minority within their class.

n.
Notes: The word eunuch does not derive, as one
might think, from the operation that produced a eunuch but rather from one of
his functions. Eunuch
goes back to the Greek word eunoukhos, "a castrated person employed to
take charge of the women of a harem and act as chamberlain." The Greek word is
derived from eun¶, "bed," and ekhein, "to keep." A eunuch, of
course, was ideally suited to guard the bedchamber of women.

Eunuch (Greek eunouchos, "keeping the bed"), castrated human male. From
ancient times, in the Far and Middle East eunuchs were used to take charge of
the women in harems or to serve as chamberlains. They often attained positions
of great influence, and in Egypt the term was applied to any court officer
whether or not he was castrated. The idea that eunuchs were lacking in courage
and intelligence is refuted by the histories of Iran, India, and China, where
they were active and effective in public affairs. The employment of eunuchs
reached its height in the courts of the Byzantine emperors at Constantinople.
Muslim rulers employed eunuchs mainly as harem officials.
Boys who were castrated in order to keep their
soprano voices were known as castrati; the Italian soprano Carlo Broschi
Farinelli (1705-82) was one of the most famous castrati. The practice was
widespread in Italy until the accession of Pope Leo XIII in 1878. The voluntary
practice of castration for religious celibacy appeared early in Christian
history and was most prevalent in the 3rd century, but it was never officially
approved by the church and came to be violently denounced.

Matt 19:11 But he said
unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
(KJV)
^i^ Just what does "All
men cannot receive this saying" mean? Jesus said it himself. Jesus is
explaining that generally most people cannot understand verse 12. So if you are
of a mind to say you know right away what the verse is meaning then you have to
be calling Jesus a liar. The scholars as well if they so readily say what they,
in the expertise, think it means. I have heard many things said about these
verses, most like to say it is mostly a spiritual kind of thing about
sanctifying yourself to God by abstaining from sex. How can most say what it
means? You must listen to the more rare explanations, because few can receive
its meaning. When I first began hearing this unusual explanation I though it
very hard to accept. After all this would seem like a lot of wishful thinking
for gays to want it to mean Jesus himself was saying something highly respectful
about gays. My sources at first seemed very un-creditable. One friend told God
told him eunuchs were gays. My desire for truth demanded that eunuchs were
castrated males or the like. I could not accept such an unfounded statement,
however, I knew God talks to His children and I knew this man who was gay did
have a very close relationship with Jesus and has manifested signs following as
well. I also did hear that there were others that have this idea by God outright
telling them. I just stored this thought on a shelf in my mind. Then I began
finding the historical record presented evidence to this very thing. I included
one source above. This is a very good book, though you may be offended by the
idea that David might have been sexually involved with Jonathon (which I won't
go into here), it goes into the details of the historical records concerning
fertility cults of the Bible. Most pastors and Sunday school teachers avoid
going into details about what in the Bible concerning these gods and goddesses.
As well meaning, as most pastors are they just won't teach the real facts
concerning gays and the Bible. You will have to find it out yourself like many
other things.
